FUNCAP in English

FUNCAP is a questionnaire based form to assess functional capacity in patients with diseases where post exertional symptom exacerbation (PEM, PENE, PESE) is present.

FUNCAP does not ask whether the patient «can» do an activity, but what the consequences of doing that activity are for performing other activities. In this way FUNCAP addresses the post exertional symptom exacerbation that is a central part of ME/CFS and Long Covid, and may be present in a number of other diseases.

FUNCAP has been developed through several rounds of surveys in a large number of patients. FUNCAP can be used in diagnosis, follow-up, assessment in connection with disability benefits, and in research. The form comes in two versions, a longer with 55 questions, and a shorter with 27 Questions.
